jrcuttymann
Take it apart and physically move the pointer possibly
Crazy K
NO... it sounds like you have a genuine voltage issue. how have you determined you have 14 volts?
19Cutlass94
Voltage at the battery is about 13.8-14.0 volts. But at the same time my gauge is ready about 11.

RobertISaar
Voltage at the battery is about 13.8-14.0 volts. But at the same time my gauge is ready about 11. try to measure at the guage source? there is the possibility of the wiring being shot, or a loose connection somewhere, or maybe the actual guage has gone to hell, all are very likely. did it slowly come to this or one day, BAM, now its 11? 19Cutlass94
For the most part, my gauge never touches 13v. Ken, at what point does the gauge take the reading?
Grand Moff Joseph
I'd say swap the gauge first, as that's the easiest thing to do. If that fails to help, look at the wiring.
cubsfan24
Check out this video from my favorite youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyw1-OG6Guw Starting @ 4:00 He got a 94 regal that had a bad alternator and after he change it the dash read ~11 volts and the battery had ~14 volts. He tightened the B+ battery terminal and the gauge went up to ~14 volts. Don't know if its the same problem but its a easy thing to check at least. Oh and the videos are hilarious and a bit adicting.
