cardude43
I've been reading that if you cut holes in your air box you'll get more power. I want to do this, but I'm not too sure where I should make the holes. I want to get the most performance possible. So any suggestions would be great. Oh, I have a K&N drop in filter installed. Thanks

jeffcanada
Below the seal, along the battery side. I used a 2" circle bit that is made for doors. IMO this gives it a cleaner look than taking a standard drill bit to it 500 times and ripping it all apart. I know you really can't see it, but i think the hacked out versions look like shit. Plus, I kept the perfect circles that I cut out so if I ever decide I don't like the mod it will take only a second to reverse, I won't have to buy a new airbox bottom, and it will look clean. Doesn't give much more power but definitely sounds mean. Jeff
Robby1870
I wouldnt say you get more power. You may change your power band, but you prolly wont gain anything noticeable. (Im waiting for Brian to chime in on this............ ) Robby

Brian P
Maybe it would if they coated the inside of the airbox, and the filter, and the throttle, with WD40. That way the air "slips" in, just like YOU would if you slipped from WD40 on the floor, see??

mdelorie
I was j/k about the wd-40 thing... I KNOW it won't do anything. HONEST! 'sides, I've got an intake that did add a little bit more top end.
