H.P.Productions
I think i may have damged more than my heads... for those who dont know I sucked up some water threw my ram air and hydro locked my 3.1 in my GP GT... when I removed the lifters each push rod hoped out of the block on its own but only on the back head... and we know fa sho that busted the exhaust vavle for 2 cylenders.... thething that has me realy warried is....I pulled all my speark pluggs affter the incident to pump the water out of the cylinders by turning the starter over...well 2 cylinders didnt pump any out so assumed the water didnt hit those cylinders..........but..when I broke the bolts loose water began gushing out of the 2 cylinders...... we took the heads in to get checked but theire was a 2 week waiting list so I gotta waite....but in the meen time we are looking at wrecked gp's with running engines and the rear bumper intact..... I had found a totaled 3.4 dohc gp with brown leather interior but they wanted $2500 for a car that is totaled beyond repaire
iTurbo
Have you checked the bottom end? I've seen engines bend rods like a coat hangar, after ingesting enough water.
H.P.Productions
^^^^^GRRRRR!!! after hearing that I think I should cause mine ingested a whole lot of water I pumed out I'd say close to half a gallon of water not including the watter thattraped in 2 of cylenders......... I can check my rods by just using using the starter to turn the engine over and look at the piston movment...cant I if the rods are bend I think i'll have to either get a 3.4 DOHC or a another car cause this week little 3.1 aint worth all the damn work I get another car I'ma try and finde a car that came stock with a supercharged 3800 ......or I know a guy that has a ford thunder bird superbird for sale....it has a 4.6 with an eaton roosts blower on it

Vegeta
I would drop a 3400 in it, but a DOHC works as well and may be a bit easier. In the long run, the 3400 is easier though.
