Can i go 235/50/17?? or do i have to stay 225/50/17..... he had 225/45/17 on them but I want a little bit more tire then whats on them. kuntzie
235/50 is closer to stock size (almost right on) ... you can even go with a 245 if u really wanted.
karrkrazzie
Really... 245/50/17 will fit on wheels that are only 7.5 wide?
intern8tion9l
i have 235/45/
xtremerevolution
I have 235/50/17 on the regal and I had to remove the plastic that goes between the tire and the engine because of the rubbing. 245/50/17 would be pushing it imo. For cost purposes, I would stick with 235/50/17 as that's a pretty popular tire size.
karrkrazzie
that would make sense..... Weird thing is 225/45/17 is the same width as 255/50/17... I went on tire rack and looked at the tread width and those are off by like 1/10th of an inch... so i would see no reason why i couldn't go that big... they are also on 1/2 an inch taller then stock.... I dont see why they wouldnt fit
xtremerevolution
keep in mind the first number refers to section width, not tread width. The difference between 225 and 255 is 1.5 inches. how big was your rim again? mine are 17x8 and there's a light bulge. 255/50/17 is a big tire.
