Garrett Powered
is valucraft actually valucrap? also they have timken at autozone. and there is a napa premium if its worth the money. I just looked at my National bearings and they are already wobbly a little and they only have been on there since 2006 and maybe 10-30k, I can't remember exactly, but recently done. I expected them to last a good 50k easy, but noooooo. I need opinions. thanks.

Garrett Powered
after doing a little searching I think the extra $20 for the timken would probably be wise. also I heard to torque them properly at 250 ft/lbs, so I'll make sure to do that. GOT2B GM
thought the cv nut was around 150 ft lbs
GOT2B GM
the little bolts are only like 40-50 ft lbs
Garrett Powered
I was reading this thread and some dude was saying he thought it was 250 ft lbs... sounds like a lot though. http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php?topic=16126.0 I was going to find out the right spec anyway. xtremerevolution
definitely timken.
White93z34
NAPA premium is more then likely a better brand like Timken or Federal-Mogul repackaged. Timken is FTW, for the cost difference it plain out does not make sense to buy cheap suspension stuff because it will fail sooner then later
Garrett Powered
I just picked up the timken one from autozone. $99 - made in the USA. he said it was for sure way better than the valucraft too.
GutlessSupreme
fuck valuecraft, i wont even buy their rotors. definitely timken. axle nut is 184 ft-lbs. bearing-to-strut tower bolts are 58-61 ft-lbs, somewhere in there. though i've had several snap before the wrench ever clicked @ that spec. 250 is way too high. trust me, i've looked these up in the service manual within the past 3 days.
