Garrett Powered Posted May 30, 2009 Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 I keep hearing 282 getrag all the time so thats what I thought was in my car but I went down to the dealership to pick up my VSS that I ordered for it and they told me it's a muncie 282 in the w-body and I looked at the screen and saw it for myself. There are other 282's that where built in Muncie but designed by other parts of GM (including Isuzu). IIRC, those units aren't anywhere near as strong or robust as Getrag units.
