Crazy K
"im doing a install right now with a brand new motor also the tranny may have 200 miles on it.Anyways you are the man with the plan on these guys.So what mods you recomend while i got this guy stripped? Also im looking at new injectors what do you recomend also my friend has 6 24 pounders 4 sale will they work or will it be floud nation/???????????Im searching for some tips i may need your help sometime soon on some advise thanks bro your doing good deeds with the info...Good Karma believe it.....thanks again" uh oh. you may have trouble. if you have a 91-93 motor, you may not be able to use it with your 95 PCM. solutions: covert the engine to a engine with the correct sensors. you have a crank sensor that can be changed by changing the timing cover, and you have a cam sensor on the front cam carrier. basically you have your new long block, and have to reuse both the cam carriers and timing chain covers. BTW, 94-95 cams are considered more desirable as they are easier to advance and retard if you desire. (one easy way to change your powerband) convert to OBD1. get a PCM out of a 91-93 3.4 car, the entire underhood harness, add a ben chip (or use the OEM chip might be fine) If you have strict emission in your area, this may be a no go as retrofitting to earlier equipment is a big no no he has a new (crate?) engine. but the crate engine appears to be for a 1991-1993 and does not have the crank sensor at the timing cover/balancer, nor on the cams (as I understand, to be sure there is not sensor on the front cam, right???) Crazy k trying to find someone who knows what there doing on the blue-printing for the timing. :eek:Tried to make it happen myself when i transfered the case.Make a long story short its off time and the engine has never been started. So i want to get it done right any suggestions on finding someone in the atlanta area...If so hit me when u get time thanks atl.cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just to make sure: Can the timing cover and BOTH cam carriers be swapped to make this engine compatible with a 1995?
