91_Lumina_V6 Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Hey guys, I own a 1991 Lumina. My right front wheel is making this loud squeaking noise all of a sudden. It squeaks all the time, not just when im braking. Anyone have any suggestions what the problem could be? or how to fix it? Thanks Quote
Brian P Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 prolly the wear sensor on the brake pad. They make sound without the brakes engaged too Quote

mdelorie Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I've had it do that to me with mid-worn brake pads. It's just crap and dust the can get on there. Buy a couple cans of brake cleaner, take off the culprit wheel, and spray it down real good, catch the stuff with a bucket underneath (let's be environmental now, shall we?). I find that tends to help. If it doesn't, check your rotors make sure they're not scored all to hell. Quote
kiwi133 Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 catch the stuff with a bucket underneath (let's be environmental now, shall we?). I never understood that, it just evaporates before you can do anything with it. Quote
Slade901 Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 You are not saturating it enough. You need to spray and saturate it to drip and get rid of the asbestos. Quote
godofthunder Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 im currious...but if you did catch any of that stuff...where do you dump it? Same as degreaser/engine gunk from cleaning underhood jon Quote
