AL Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Mine (91) leaks oil in 2 places, leaks trans fluid, leaks coolant, and leaks power steering fluid. It needs a clutch and it needs to stop knocking and it needs a new power lock solenoid or whatever... It needs a valence and it needs all of the fluids listed above that leak Quote
95cutty96 Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Mine needs engine and trans and computer at least the cutlass the lumina needs someone to put the engine and trans and pcm from the cutlass in it that's about it hopefully but it is a w body so I'm sure it will always have something that can be fixed Quote
Lumineer Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 My '91 Bonneville (not a W-body, I know) needs: 1) the rear struts replaced BADLY (the damn thing bounces like a trampoline and practically does a 90 degree rotation when driving around bumpy curves) 2) catalytic converter/heat shield removal (its got that ugly rattle, plus the car has such high mileage it wouldn't hurt to do it) 3) new camshaft position sensor 4) a transmission treatment (likely has a gunked-up throttle valve because the transmission is a little rough or jolting) 5) COOLANT!! shit, I forgot about that!!!! Oh well, it's only a little low.... Quote
89GP_SE Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 rear brakes, and I mean the whole works. Quote

3pt1lumina Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 In all honesty, nothing. I hate when repairs gang up since I maintain 4 W's at a time... so as soon as something breaks I fix it that day or the next. Quote
Euro Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 pads/rotors all the way around suspension work all the way around new engine mounts to be bitch slapped with the "Anti-Rattle/Squeak/Noise Machine" Quote

w-bodys_are_the_best Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 A miracle Actually it need me to get off my lazy ass, and finish dropping that new motor in. It also needs: PMIII installed (and hope to god it works) clutch slave/master installed new PS pump brakes all around better tires (starting to rot) wheel bearing HUD fixed DIS installed hood (it keeps hinting to me it needs a good white hood, I say, "What? are you f@#*ing racist?) a new maroon AQ9 driver's seat (this one is impossible) cd player or any kind of stereo entire exhaust system battery It really just needs a shit ton of money thrown at it, which I don't have. I am hoping to drive it before the snow falls at least once, but we'll see what happens. I've got almost $3000 into it the way it sits now. Quote
Regal_GS_1989 Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 A driver side mirror glass as moisture got in behind the glass and fucked up the autodimming fluid. I also replaced the front brake rotors this past weekend because they were warped. It could also use a detail job, but thats not a need. Quote
runt Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Some very minor rust. Gas gauge. I have the fuel pump at home but lack the time. I have a surge or something when the torque converter locks up for the first time. Not sure if it's in the trans or if it's a plug/wire issue. So that needs fixed. Plugs/Wires are due to be changed. Coolant flushed. Tranny pan dropped - New fluid/filter or maybe a complete flush I'm not sure. That's about it. I shouldn't complain because it's been pretty good up until just this year. Quote
BXX Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 I would post my list but it gets longer by the minute LOL.
