topless94style
So i just added a K&N drop in and a few actually many holes and one big hole to the air box. I got the tires loose no problem and not even at full throttle. THe growl is very nice i like the new power. Now i need to rob a mcdonalds to get more money to make more power And i did an oil change very ghetto like. Smashed two holes in the filter and stuck a needle nose plyers in to twist the fucker out. I also through in some 3M fuel system cleaner. This shit better work considering the $12 i spent on it.

topless94style
I forgot that i didnt have a oil filter tool thing to get it off cuz my old car had the oil filter inside the oil pan so i never bought one. And my friend who has a 97 grand am with the oil tool thingy is away at college so i thought hey lets make a mess.

topless94style
lol yea it was pretty fun. Except the mess it makes. And doing the cahnge after driving for half hr and makin a mess the oil burns.
gp90se
lol yea, why dont we ALL make the biggest mess possible like a bunch of dumb shits. why in gods name would you TRY to make an oilchange messyer then it already is? grab a big ass pair of channel locks and twist it off, of u want 2 poke a small hole in the lowest point of the filter to drain into a funnel as NOT to make a mess. its your car, do it however you'd like. but if you dont want oil dripping off the subframe rails/exhaust manifolds, might wanna try my way. -Jeff Valvoline instant oil change tech. topless94style
I tried the channel locks. I tried once and didnt work so i started stabbin holes. I get impatient quickly. It didnt bother me though cuz i took my car for a wash and the fram needed a cleaning anyway since i cleaned the engine and all the junk that was on it stuck to the frame. Thats where all the oil landed and is no longer there so doesnt bother me any.
Pselus
so on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being nothing, 10 being INSANE) how much did the drop in K&N change the pull and speed of the car? what other mods have you done? Cause I'm modless and looking for some info on cheap good mods....
grandprix104
6 it made a noticible difference for a relativly cheap price.
topless94style
The drop in made a pretty noticeable difference. Better low end and a little harder pull throughout the rpm range. Id say prolly a 6 too. I added about 30 small holes witha drill bit on the bottom and the battery side of the airbox. Along with one large inch to inch and a half hole on the bottom. They added a pretty noticable difference and a better growl to the car. I have stock exhaust and it sounds awesome when i get up around 4 grand. I am working right now on getting the intake ported and polished along with the heads. Also a 5 angle valve job on the heads. This should be completed in the spring. If i had more money it would be done sooner. I plan on ordering a high flow cat 2 flowmaster 40 series mufflers 2.5inch plumbing, an underdrive pulley new plugs and wires fuel filter the basics. grandprix104
sounds like youre doing exactly what ive been planning for awhile. All exept swis-cheesing the airbox - which after some reccomendations I have decided against. When you get the exaust on make some recordings cause I wanna hear what mine'll sound like
Pselus
whew....I'm gonna be jealous of you man. and I gotta say I already love the sound of this car when it hits the high rpms....to me it's a great mix of rumble you hear from a V8 and whine you hear from a race car.... Bolt_Crank
that's a pretty close description, lol, at idle, under the hood, it sounds like a 1993 Chev. 350 then you hit the gas, and know the difference
The Burning Rom
geeez...I'm glad I can screw the oil filter off by hand when I change oil on my cars. No tool required
