L36 Vs. L67

Are they the same block? Other than the 67 having a SC, other differances? Pros and Cons of both. Thank you all.

L36 block has different pistons and cam as well as a higher compression ratio. (9.5:1)

 

Not sure if the crank is the same.

if we are talking a shortblock (no heads),

 

the cam and crank are the same.

 

L67's have different rods(stronger maybe?) and lower compression pistons, which makes them safer to boost.

The cams are the same? Wouldn't they want a different cam for Boost?

you would think. If you look up the cam on GMPD, its says "all models 3.8, 97-04"
