Brian P Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 I wasn't kidding. In fact, I dare you to try it on the rubber around the windows when you get wax residue on them. Just dont use chunky Quote
godofthunder Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 ACtually...peanut butter is amazing when it comes to that. I mainly use it when it comes to the black plastic stuff. Basicly, the oils help seep in and make it shiney, but also help remove stuff from the surface. It actualyl can get swrill marks out too...if you know what your doing! Also, another tip woudl be get a WHITE erraser from an office store, but not a Gum one. This is great for where you have wax (or paint) residue on the plasitc, comes right off. Then, use some Back to Black or something, to dress it. \jon Quote
bluegp Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 I have some white paint from spray painting on those black plastic strips around my GP. Any ideas on how to remove this? Try something like Meguiar's Hand polish or Fine-Cut Cleaner. Both have a real fine abasive that shouldn't leave any marks. I've used both to freshen up moldings. As for solvents, one I've used is an enamel reducer by Dupont (old can - #3812 S). I've never had it harm any surface I've used it on. It works great for removing adhesive too. Quote
