spiderw31
Question regarding the coolant temp on my GP... What is the normal range for the coolant temp to be (LQ1)? Before my car was down for a year, I seem to remember that the gauge pretty much stayed at the line below 220. Now I'm noticing it fluctuate between that line and 220, and even going to the line above 220 in traffic. I'm still burping air from the system after getting the motor back together, but it doesn't seem to be much air, nor is it making a difference in the temp the car runs at. My question is does this sound like normal behavior? I don't really know, as I've never driven the car in warm weather before!
jake91
fan kicks on at 235. mine normaly runs at 190 on the interstate 200-210 in town, and mine will kick the fan on if im in traffic

spiderw31
Yeah, I had the fan kick on several times in traffic, and once today at a light for about 2 minutes. It seemed like the temp was going up rather quickly, but like I said, I've never driven this car in weather anywhere close to needing A/C before. If it sounds normal, then I'm not gonna worry about it. I'll just keep burping out bubbles as needed.
