Yes I checked them all no spark on any of them.....was a little odd drove it about 40 miles or so yesterday it was idling just fine then just died

icm, crank sensor... or worse?

what engine/year? and did you check all your fuses???

Posted

96 3100 I just replaced both crank sensors I have another icm in the garage but I am trying to figure it out before I leave since its 40 miles away

Posted

And I checked the fuses I had one blown for the ignition but I replaced that and still no spark

Posted

Just put a new crank sensor in just now and I still have absolutely no spark at all anyone have any ideas I need to know ASAP

Posted

Yea I tried it and got nothing so I tried a new computer and I still have nothing

Posted

tried another ICM? Y?

tried a different PCM? what year/car did that come from?

When you turn the key to RUN (without trying to start) does the check engine light come on and then go out after a few seconds?

How did you check for spark? and did you check more than one wire?

Posted

I have tried two different computers two different icms and I have a brave friend and we checked all coils

I'm not sure I don't have that light bulb in

WTF???? put it back in! the info is critical to the process.

Yea well see its being brought home on a flatbed tomorrow so then I can really dig into it since this 40 mile trip is quite hard everyday with no license

Posted

Well she's home now so when all this rain clears up I'll have to dig into it

Posted

Ok so had it towed home yesterday went to check some more out today and she fired right up on the first try but I have no tachometer now definitely a wiring issue

It was the 3 grounds that go on the bellhousing. I guess I was in to much of a rush when I put the engine back in I didn't tighten it up all the way
