i'm trying my best to get the car up and running this year, and the first issue to tackle is the fact that it runs like total crap. the idle is way messed up, but to be able to get any kind of tune burned on a chip, i need to know what kind of numbers i've got to work with. anyone? anyone?

I'm no where near you, but OBD1, OBD2? Trying to get live data, or even just freeze frame? No local performance shops that are familiar with GM stuff?

i'm obd1, i don't know anything about data logging, but the guy i'm talkin to over on tgpforums is curious about the o2 readings. the only performance shop i really know of closed last summer

If you can't find anyone with one to borrow, check out the Autoxray 3000's on ebay. They typically go for around $100 shipped which isn't bad for a scan tool that can read live data on a lot of OBD-I vehicles...Other than that, you could buy a cable to datalog with tunerpro or the like if you have a laptop...

Yeah, check on ebay for one of these. I paid $15 shipped for mine.
