gpchris
Well I saw this app for the iphone where you just put the iphone in your cupholder and you can measure quarter miles and whp more accuratly than those expensive dash mount peices of garbage. Well I downloaded the app and tried it out. Check out the results!

5speedz34
That app costs alot right? I know they have one that works as a real time scanner IIRC and its like $200 I think.
gpchris
the app was $10 bucks.. Considering i already had an iphone it only costed me $10 bucks for something thats been proven to be more accurate the the gtech.

I'd say an average 60' time for a stock 3100 w-body would be around 2.2. My 3.1 Lumina pulled a high 2.1 a couple of times, and the best I've done in my GP was 2.34. 5speedz34
Is this a 3x00 car or a 3.4 DOHC car? I know your sig says its a GTP, but those seem like really bad numbers for a 3.4.

mfewtrail
Cool app, but it's giving out very optimistic trap speeds if that car has a 3100 in it.

RobertISaar
Should be about right to the wheels.. almost 31% drivetrain loss.... seems a bit too low if you ask me.

The iPhone is basically a small computer. Assuming someone wrote an application, it could do anything those standalone devices could do. I'm sure that given the correct program that it could. It's not capable of doing so at the moment, because no program exists, but if it had the correct cable and software, sure.
