Guest Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 Hi , I just bought a 90GP with 65000 miles as a daily driver till my street strip Z28 is finsihed . The car is about perfect but sinice I cant leave well enough alone I want to upgrade it some . Here are my questions . Is this a 3100 or 3.1 ? How much HP can this engine support on nitrous oxide ? Has anyone here done cams , heads or intake changes on this engine ? I found a Super Charger but its $4500 and only 80hp more . I want to change the wheels too . Anyone know what sizes will fit without problems ?
Guest Anonymous Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 Go pop your hood and the intake will tell you if it's a 3.1 or 3100. It should say 3.1.

gp13069 Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 if it's a 1990 gp the in take reads 3.1 multi port F.I. but in it's a newer say 1996 & 1/2 engine it should say 3100 with the coil packs on top of the intake.
