AL
no parts store will make that line incorrect. many NAPAs make custom lines and hoses to spec. They cant make all the lines though... They can only make them if they can make the proper flair at the end... I went through that issue when I needed a new power steering line for a buddies talon
White93z34
which is why I said to pickup the proper ends from summit. I know for a FACT that it has been done before by other people here, and that is why I suggested he PM them for specifics.
meltboy1
well I called a GM dealership in my area, and they can get the whole master/slave setup for 218.43 so I might just go with that, I stopped at Napa and asked them about it and they said they couldn't do the line for me so I will probably just go with the setup from GM when I get the cash. meltboy1
omg!!! It finally runs, I got a used master/slave setup from jimmyfloyd, put it in, bled it and it freakin runs! I drove it like 50 miles today so far. My engine light goes on and off, I am assuming that is just cuz I took the AIR pump off completely, so it's not even hooked up, I will paper clip it later to see what the code is. It idles great, runs great, surprisingly isn't leaking anything, after a buttload of RTV... temp fix, bolt snapped on the pipe that comes from the top of the water pump on that metal line, but ya, I love the new clutch, I gota be nice to it for a few hundred miles, but it shifts lovely!! I am so excited, I thought that car would never run again... BTW Nick, idk if I mentioned this before, but i got the oil pressure sending unit to work, there was a snipped wire in there, so a new sensor, a splice and some electrical tape, everything on my dash works. I am runnin a little hot I think though, it's stayin steady around 230, which I think is a tad high, I am gona blead the system cuz I don't think I did that before and see if that fixes it and also my cruise control isn't working, not a vacuum problem cuz my hvac controls work fine. Addicted To Boost
Glad to hear it man The whole time I had the car, it was freezing outside, so I didn't get too much of a chance to look at it closely. When I had the car, it ran very cool, around 180* I would guess, and the hottest it ever got in stop and go traffic was ~200-210. You probably have a bit of air in the system. The thermostat is new as of 12/2007. As for the cruise problem, I would say probably a vacuum problem... but you mentioned your vents work ok? When you put the HVAC control on "vent" does air come out of the instrument panel vents above the radio? Otherwise, be sure you connected the cruise control cable to the throttle body with its clip.. I've missed that before haha. Congratulations man
meltboy1
thanx, I actually figured out today that the cruise has to do with the little pushbutton switch that when the clutch pedal is out is pushed in the closed position, I am thinking that for some reason the clutch pedal is not sitting as high as it was before, cuz when I was driving today I remembered that switch, so I reached down and held the clutch pedal up a little and the cruise started working. I did bleed the system, and I was actually down quite a bit of coolant from when it leaked, didn't realize I lost so much. It was runnin closer to the 140ish range, but did spike up a few times. It is still leaking through the RTV so I am going to bring the car to my friends garage and see if he can fix that bolt, maybe drill and tap it for me cuz I had no luck, shitty ass drill bits just broke on me so I gave up.
