no1kicker
so if you have the V block, and shave the heads for better compression, what's the difference from the T block? Also, not related, but is the thermostat for the T ande V block the same? pepboys has a listing for the T therm but not the V.
GnatGoSplat
I think we've pretty much decided there's nothing special about the V block and the difference is in the heads. The T-stat is the same, but the housing/neck that holds it in is different.

Only the waterneck for the turbo is different..correct? I thought there wasn't a difference between lower intake manifolds. :?
GnatGoSplat
Yep, just the water neck. The lower intake manifold is the same, or at least seems to be the same.
Chris A
Be careful bout the lower intake though. There is one I have seen with the PCV in the lower intake. Others are in the upper intake. Not sure which is what though. And the heads aren't "turbo" specific, but appear to be 3.1 w/ vac egr specific. Seems like they were all the same in 89, but only carried to the tgp in 90.
