I'm sure just about everyone in this forum is getting sick of all the top swap questions, but bear with me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I currently have. . .

L67 Injectors

L67 Fuel Rail

L67 Pulley Assemblies (The 2 pulleys on the tensioner assembly are damaged.)

L32 Supercharger (M90 GenV)

L32 Throttle Body (Useless)

L32 S/C - LIM Gasket

L32 Boost Bypass

L32 Thermostat and Housing

L32 Alternator

L32 Harmonic Balancer

L32 Lower Intake Manifold

--------------------------------------------------------

The only BIG part I still need is the heads.

So next to be presented... My Shopping List!!

L67/32 Heads - Complete (Valves, Springs, Rockers, Valve Covers & Oil Filler Cap)

L67 Vacuum Hose from S/C to Brake Booster

L67/32 Harmonic Ballancer Bolt

L67 S/C Drive Belt Tensioner Pulleys (1 Smooth, 1 Ribbed)

L67 Fuel Injector O-Rings

L67/32 Head Bolts

L67/32 S/C Serpentine Belt

L67/32 LIM Gaskets

L67/32 Head Gaskets

L67/32 Valve Cover Gaskets

L32 - L36 Throttle Body Adapter Plate from ZZP

L67 Wire Harness Swap Kit from ZZP

L32 Bolts for S/C to LIM

L32 Bolts for LIM to Heads & Block

L67/32 Nuts For Fuel Rail

oh, and also I still need a car for this all

(Should get my 2002 Impala LS in a few days.)

------------------------------------------------------------

Now you guys with your infinite wisdom, tell me what is wrong with my current shopping list (if anything).

Anything I DON'T need?

--------------------------------------------------

Also, I really don't wanna spend $400 on a tuner, so what PCM should I use?

Can I keep the L36 PCM?

Or go to a L32 since the S/C is an L32?

Or use a L67 because they're probably cheaper than a L32?

---------------------------------------------

Will the L67 heads bolt DRIECTLY on the L36 Block?

------------------------------------

And whats all the commotion about the PCV?

I can see the block off plate on top of the S/C that says PCV.

Can it connect in there some how?

I've heard you have to get a valve cover breather,

I've heard you drill holes in the TB or SC,

So whats up with that?

----------------------------

Will I have any problems getting the vacuum lines and everything connected?

------------------------

Do I need a Coil Pack Mounting Bracket? Or will the stock L36 work fine?

---------------------

Can I get the TB adapter plate cheaper?

It's currently the most expensive thing on my list at $100.00

Can I make one somehow?

(I'm pretty good and patient with my Dremel)

--------------

Thanks again everyone!

the list looks right to me.

- get a L67 tuner.

- yes the l67 heads swap onto a l36. they are the same block after all.

- i believe the PCV issues have to do with intercoolers.

the injectors mount in the heads of the l67. the l36 heads do not have these holes tapped for the injector bosses. so supercharged may have to use l67 heads unless you can mod the l36 heads. noticed in your list you gave either for heads option.

You can use the same coil pack bracket. You can use the L36 pcm, you'll just have to get it tuned for the swap. It won't run worth a dime until you do

x2 on buying a tuner, as you will definitely need it custom tuned with that setup

So with the tuner, I should be able to keep my L36 PCM, and just tune it to my L67/32 setup?

Also, whats the cheapest tuner I could get with all the basic features I would need for this?

I KNOW that I really want HPTuners, but way too pricey for me. I just want enough to get it running good with some extra pep.

It looks like OBDII Tuner is pretty cheap, but has a terrible GUI. :-S

Oh well, who said it had to look pretty, whatever gets the job done!

I'm basically looking for a cheap, yet FUNCTIONAL tuner, and yea, yea, I know those words don't go together, but I'm sure there's a good deal somewhere!

Any recommendations?

EDIT__________-----------_________________-----------------______________

I guess you cant use the L36 PCM, no matter how tuned it is.

It's missing the necessary hardware connections.

At the bottom is the L67 PCM with Boost Control Solenoid Control.

I don't think they would have implemented such a pointless system into the L36 PCM. :-S

WAIT!!!!!! EDIT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this what the L67 Wiring Harness Adaptor does from zzp?

Lets you use your tuned L36 PCM?

Wow, sick of editing my old post, so...

Upon more reading from the zzp l67 adaptor site...

The Easy Performance L67 Swap Kit includes the electrical items needed for installing an L67 into a car originally equipped with an L36.

*

MAP adapter wire of correct length for the new location of MAP sensor.

*

A Supercharger bypass connector with lead ready to plug into the PCM connector. (pin 77 on the CLEAR connector for 98-03 GP)

pin 77 on the CLEAR connector for 98-03 GP

The GP! Not the GTP!

So since the GP only had the L36, this would mean I can keep my L36 PCM, and just use zzp's wire harness adaptor!

TADA!!! The PCM mystery is solved!
