Ned Flanders
How much gas do you have in the car? Does it still do it when you have a full tank?
Robby1870
Sounds to me like it could be the IAC (idle air control) valve. Could also be the coil packs and/or ICM (ignition control module).
Brian P
does it feel like the transmission is slipping out of gear? Usually when the trans fluid is low, left turns will push the remaining fluid away from the pump pick-up (filter inlet) and cause slipping or stuttering. Check your fluid according to your owners manual's procedure and add if needed.

It only does it on left turns and not right somtimes when i take a left turn the service engine light will come on then go off? and somtimes if the wheel is turned all the way left it will stall (when making a turn) and when you making the turn it jump to 2k then drops to 1k then when the car is stright it drives fine
blakngold4life
I had something similar and it was just bad gas. When I had my old motor in it stalled when making left turns sometimes, do a little research on the "phantom stalling" that these motors are prone to if that ends up being a separate issue. CSI_MuNkY
:willynilly: :willynilly: :willynilly: :willynilly: :willynilly:  My car is doing the same damn thing and I can not figure it out!  Mine started to die on left hand turns only, then it started blowing the 40A IGN SW1 fuse under the hood.  I am swapping out my steering column this week  Jamie
GOT2B GM
Friggin Nascar junkies, wore the car out with left turns.
CSI_MuNkY
FWIW, mine does it no matter how much gas is in the tank  My signal switch was starting to act up when I took the car off the road  My gas gauge was not working at all when I moved the car from my Ex fiance's to the new storage place.  If my new column doesn't fix it, I'm going to be dropping that gas tank  Jamie
Captain Ficho
What do you mean the car isn't running right on left turns? That's a good thing, if your car ran right when you turned left it would be going the wrong direction.

GOT2B GM
My car doesn't run left on right turns. Â Â But seriously, in your case, I'd say fuel delivery related (weak pump?)
Robby1870
^ Pump's in the center of the tank though. Not saying that's not it, just making discussion. Â What about crank sensor wire grounding itself out to the block? That happened to me once. When I would take off from a stop the wire would move a little and ground itself out and stall the car. Just a thought.

jtwmechanic
you have got issues inside the steering column itself. probally right behind the wheel where the signal switch is located.

What is it that brings you to that conclusion??  I hope your right cause tomorrow I'm swapping my column and signal switch to hopefully fix this problem on my car. chevy
Well still isnt fixed and the car stutters and stalls everytime i hit the gas also it i notice when it park it wont rev higher then 3k?
CSI_MuNkY
Well the rev limiter in park is set around 3-4k, so unless your car is chipped, that's normal.  Your problem still sounds the same as mine. Your car has been doing everything mine has. I bet eventually your "IGN SWCH 1" fuse blows too  I'll keep you posted on what happens with my column swap  Jamie
chevy
My car has got to the point where i cant even drive it i took it up the street the car wouldnt stop surging and as soon i i took my foot of the gas it would stall. Its real damn annoying  Â
jtwmechanic
your prob sounds diff than GTP_MUNKY his is only on left hand turns and yours is all the time. had a 97 4.3 vortek with same prob ended up being the throttle positioning sensor.
