GRANDFURY
My power steering fluid leaks and it is starting to piss me off because I cant find where it's leaking from I cant see where it is dripping but theres no holes or craks or anything. I'm thinking about just changing out the whole power steering system for a new one lines, pump and all. Has anyone else had this problem? If I could get a cheaper fix I would but i'm just frustrated with it now.
NOHC_WBody
http://www.keep-it-kool.com/uv_dye_acc/uv_dye.html Something along those lines should help you find the leak. Look for something similar at your local auto parts place.

lukee1982
its very common for the pressure hose to leak at the connection from metal to rubber - solution: replace hose I thought mine was the pressure hose and really it was the rack and pinon lines leaking
mdelorie
I blew the front seal on my pump. That was kind of obvious though, as it was getting onto the pulley and being sprayed EVERYWHERE.
89oldscutlass
Sounds like the bearing might have gone bad and is leaking out where your pulley is. My 3.1 did that and i couldnt find the leak so I replaced it now my 2.8s doing it so im going to replace it. Most Gen 1 3.1s and 2.8s have probs with their powersteering pumps leaking.
