meltboy1
Now that I have the motor and tranny out of the 89, I would like to do a 3400 top end swap. This site has provided me with a wealth of information http://www.domesticcrew.com/660/hybrid.html#1, but what I would like is opinions on what the best "donor" car would be. I'd like a plenum that doesn't say anything on it since it's not a true 3400, and things like that kinda irritate me...lol, so what cars would have that, if any? I know it's going to be a lot of work, and I am gathering as much information as I can before I even buy a single part for it, cuz if it turns out to be way too much work/ too much money I may not even do it. AWeb80
you'll need one out of a Van IIRC...montana, Venture, whatever the Olds one is..... get the 02 and later, they flow better than the 99-01 IIRC....even though they are large port, Ben has verified the 02+ is a different cast and they flow the best. pontiacmaniac94
thanx, ya, I was thinking minivan on that. the montana has a larger TB than the w-body or the A-body 3400..I am pretty sure every one of them have the "3400" lettering on em, unless you were to buy one custom for more money.
