It has to be in Parked for the car to start. That is working as designed. Sounds like your Park/Neutral safety switch might be malfunctioning. Does it start in N every time without fail? oz37k Posted April 9, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 Well took it to my firends shop and it ended up being the starter, they tested with some kind of tool while on the car and out of 5 attempts, it clicked 2 times just like when I attempt to start it with my key.
