NOHC_WBody
It'll register from about 30ish to 160, jumping back and forth between the two. My wife's described driveability problems, after the car(my Cutlass) has gotten to operating temp. I haven't been able to duplicate the problems she's having. From her information: It will hesitate, stumble and sometimes stall. She tells me to re-fire the car, she has to floor the accelerator,(like it's flooded) and the car will start right up, but die immediately a few times, and then everything will run properly. I already checked fuel pressure, thermostat operation, coil packs are good. If there's no/erratic signal coming from the temp sensor, would that result in overfueling after the engine's hot & cause the hesitation/stalling? GnatGoSplat
Possibly the temp sensor, and if not that, most likely the ECM. DIC gets temp data from the ALDL.
NOHC_WBody
Alright, I checked the temp sensor, and the connector had seperated itself from the body of the injector. That's where my intermittent signal was coming from. Started fine, and settled down to a good idle, and I let it warm up to get it out of open loop mode, and It continued to run....which is always a good sign. *crosses fingers* 7 dollars is too cheap of a fix, but that's just the pessimist in me. GnatGoSplat
Great! I'm glad that fixed it, although I don't really deserve thanks since you already had the problem figured out.
