i am going to be doin alot of engine pulling and installing and tranny pulling and installing i am pulling the engine out of my 91 gp gt and the tranny out of my 94 gp se parts car.. and pulling the engine and tranny out of my 91 gp se and putting in the tranny from the 94 and the engine from the 91 gt and putting them in the 91 se.. lol sounds complicated i know i was wondering if you had any tips or tricks to help get through this faster

IIRC, the 94 trans is electronically controlled and the 91 trans is vacuum controlled. So it wouldnt be an easy swap.

 

Anyone wanna chime in on this?

the reason i wanted to use the 94 tranny is because it is new but the 91 gt has a good transmission i could just use that one

it had a 3100 i bought the car for the b4u and the tranny to put in mine i ended up using tons of stuff from the 94 it didnt come with an engine

if the 91 has the 3.1 it wont work

it can be made to work. but that requires a 91-93 3.4 dohc or 1993 3.1 mpfi engine wire harness and computer, along with a 93 3.1 PROM chip. could be done, but is it worth it?

 

 

what engine does the 91 have???

i'll try to give more info:

 

in 91: the 3.4 had the 4t60e and the 3.1 had the 4t60/440t4, right? 3.1 didn't get the eletronic tranny until 93...

dude, just use the 4T60. 4T60-e didnt come along till 94 when it became electronically controlled.

ok i get that the 94 trans wont work how bout any tips and tricks for the pulling of the engine and trans
