GRANDFURY
I have a 89 gp with a 2.8 auto. It's not engine moded (yet) I know I should put a bigger engine in but I love the gas value Anyways any help on what chip is the best would be great. L8r I plan to put a cold air intake and flowmasters on it and thats probabaly as far as I will go for awhile. Any tips would be great. NOHC_WBody
If you're hell-bent on throwing away 1-200 dollars on a chip, just send the cash to me. IMO, they're worthless.
GRANDFURY
Is that true?????? I've heard different things, some say they've helped and others say they suck. I was doing some browsing on the site and I think instead of those little mods on the 2.8 I might just try and find a 96-97 3.8 and grab up on the computer and such. I guess i'd have to find a 92 transmission too. I don't know. But that seems the better way to go, more expensive but worth it I think
Guest Anonymous
I just bought a '90 Grand Prix with a 3.1 5-speed. It has a Jet chip in it. It made a noticeable difference. When I have the money I'm going to get a chip from http://www.fastfwdperformance.com/

Along with some other goodies like you were stating, that 2.8L MPFI will have some added power. Best of luck; let us know on your updates! - Erik

GRANDFURY
My car has like 263,000 KM on it. Will it hurt it if I add a chip????? The engine is still fairly strong running.
Redfox340
As long as you're up to date on your maintenace and keep everything in check... You should be fine. I don't see any problems as long as you know the condition on your own vehicle. - Erik
