mattlgiberson
Ok guys, My '96 Cutlass decided to drop it's tranmission all over the highway the other day . I've been looking all over for a tranny and in my searching I've come across a 1995 Park Ave Ultra (It's supercharged with what I believe to be the Series I...haven't looked at the car yet). The Park Ave is $400 and all the wreckers around hear want $550+ for just a tranny. I figured since I HAVE to do the tranny, it's a good excuse to throw a supercharged engine in the Cutlass. My question is...will the Series I fit the same as a Series II and is it even worth my time? Thanks
Crazy K
anything can be done. is it worth doing is another question. you will probably find that the computer is obd 1.5 and totally undesireable, and therefore harder to swap into your car. BUT... maybe you can use the complete drivetrain from that car in yours, and simply locate an OBD II computer from a 3800 powered 96 buick and your current 96 harness in on it. maybe. but someone with more experience will hopefully pop up. Jonpro03
Yes it can. My 96 gp has a 94 gp trans in it. Just had to swap electronics

19Cutlass94
96 should be OBDII. however it is a little more complex then just swaping engines.
