For example, aluminum heads... everyone uses them now because they flow better, weigh less, and you need less timing for the same power etc etc. Your thinking too hard about something that is somewhat simple. and if you need something to help you tune, just use a WBO2. EGT will tell you very little about your AFR. and since you have a WBo2 theres no reason to read the color of the exhaust. Quote
