yesterday i got to therapy a bit early so i decided to check my transmission level. i park in a nice flat place and proceeded to go Thur all the gears waited a few mins and check my level and i notice some bubbles in the dip stick. the fluid was nice and red and seemed that it was in the proper level does anyone know what could cause this?

Mine used to do that. Come out of school and put it in drive and would get nothing. Then it would take a few minutes for it to warm up.

I was young and dumb, I added almost a whole bottle of that Lucas Slip-Fix fluid and my trans was picture perfect for the next 60k miles(that I owned it at least)

i just took some fluid out and checked it again and it still marked between the range area. i took it out for a spin and it was shifting a lot faster and it seemed like it had more power. do you guys think it had too much fluid? if it did do you think this affects my mileage Ive been getting really crappy mpg under 20

That probably could've been part of it. I'm not sure if it would've affected your gas mileage though. Have you done a tune up or anything on it lately?

Btw...I keep staring at your sig because my car looked exactly like that at one point(except I had a black Z34 grille) but I didn't add foglights until a lot later

tour car looks so clean. i got to clean the engine bay when it gets a bit warmer. my car is in horrible shape on the passenger side with the big ass dent on the right rear 1/4 panel and all the fucking dents the go all alone the passenger side door.

i change all plugs, wires, coils, last year around april. i put new fuel filter, k&n air Filter sometime during the summer.

I'd say being overfull was probably your issue then... I doubt it has anything to do with your mpgs though...
