w-bodys_are_the_best
I told my cousin he sholud buy the used LQ1 and throw it in his fiero, if it fit in th Z24 I would throw it in there, but LQ1 is a no-go for the j bodies, not enough room. An LQ1 in the cav with the 282 that's in there would be badass!

GOT2B GM
Did the designs change from 91-97 for the dohc? Or all they all the same? 91-93 OBD 1 94-95 OBD 1.5 same as 91-93 + extra cam and crank sensors, different cam pulleys etc 99-97 OBD 2 totally different from the block up
w-bodys_are_the_best
I do know when the previous owner of the used engine I bought put the 91 block into his 95 monte, he switched fuel rails, injectors and a few other odds and ends. It ran in his monte, but his "check engine" light was always on. When he dropped the motor off, he gave me a whole box of parts, injectors, fuels rail, ICM and coils with wires, etc. With the new block it actually has most of the sensors, though I will have to use my LIM, UIM, injectors & fuel rail, and also the accessories of course. I am getting a reman PS pump because the one on my bad motor (original cutlass block) is leaking and has covered the engine in a nice black residue. I am stealing the ALT off the used block because it is new, but I will take my alt off the bad block, get it rebuilt and install it on the used motor so whoever buys it will have a freshly rebuilt alt. Addicted To Boost
Hang onto the motor in case the 5-speed GTP comes back!
w-bodys_are_the_best
Yeah, I'm so pissed about that GTP, I could have taken the timing cover off my junk motor and still had an extra used motor sitting around.
Addicted To Boost
We'll hunt it down. And beat the owner with a stick. JK No really. We'll find it.

w-bodys_are_the_best
I figure it's no big deal if I can't sell the used block. If I can't get my $500 back out of it, there are always projects floating around on craigslist
