daytonboi Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 My car goes through about 2 or 3 quarts every couple weeks. I think its burning most of it and dumping the rest in the gravel drive. Quote

Wow. Get that oil pump drive o-ring fixed. It's probably responsible for the majority of your oil leak. Quote
Spilly Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 I burn a half quart ever 1,500 miles. No leaks. Quote
chadz34 Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 The 96 Lumina LQ1 burns and leaks none, and never has not even from any infamous locations on the DOHC. The Z34 was on an oil chart since new and needs one quart every 3,500km. Quote
ZoomZoomFan Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Well, it leaked from the oil sending unit there for a while. But I had that fix3d. Now, none...AFAIK. Quote
RobertISaar Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 1 fresh quart of pennzoil every 1000 miles. this is gonna sound dumb but does anybody have a picture of the oil pump drive seal? i keep hearing about it and everybody bitches about it and i have no idea where it is... Quote
Lumineer Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 As far as I can tell, my car isn't burning any oil, although it MAY leak a tiny bit. Quote

That is located directly under your throttle body right near where the lower intake manifold mates to the block. Quote
