lb79theone
I was at work on Sunday at the store and we really did not have anything to do so I needed to measure my cone filter so I can get another one, and I also had to measure my PCV or vaccumm tube in my intake becuase I am putting another one in there along with clamps etc, and a IAT extentsion becuase its pulling! Anyways I was getting my cone filter off and I see some oil on the right side of my engine where the TB and where I was working in and I look closer and I see the place where my intake bolts to the upper portion and in between is covered in oil! My cone filter was half soaked in oil and my right side of the engine has oil spray! So I looked in the coolant and there I saw the oil line sitting on the top of my coolant! I was so pissed! It wasent that bad so I knew if I just keep the RPMs low id be ok for a while until next wednsday when I have to bring it to my friend Denis's garage and work on it. I will also use my g.f's car whenever I can and ill get it fixed, but it is just such a hassel and now I need to drop some money from my tax refund on that! Not to much oil is showing and no lights came on or anything yet so... How long do you think I have to putt putt around town?
88red4cyl
Personally, I wouldn't drive it at all if you have oil and coolant mixing... There is oil and coolant mixing, right? So I looked in the coolant and there I saw the oil line sitting on the top of my coolant! Better to be inconvenienced a bit than to toast your bearings, IMHO... Euro
uh..yeah. If you drive it with oil/coolant mixing together that will soon be a blown motor.... not coming from experience or anything

If you drive it with oil/coolant mixing together that will soon be a blown motor.... not coming from experience or anything my dad had that experiance. he took his camaro in for work at chevrolet, and they got coolant in the oil and didnt change it. so the next day my dad was out driving it. not knowing this had happened, and the engine locked up.
