NOHC_WBody
Insert a ratchet wrench(1/2 IIRC), and rotate the tensioner to release tension on the belt. Then, simply slide the belt off the pulleys.
Robby1870
Disconnect the negative or positive battery cable Insert a 3/8" drive ratchet into the tensioner and pull it, so the belt loosens. Take the belt off. Loosen the bolt on the front-top of the alternator (this is on near the top on the belt side of the alternator) Its a 10mm bolt (I think) Loosen the bolt that holds a big long black thing of the back of the alternator (the black thing goes down toward the head. Just loosen the bolt on the top of the black thing that holds it on the alternator) 10mm Now, take the nut off of the power wire (red). Its a 10mm Now, under the alternator, unscrew the big long bolt (this is what the alternator pivots on). Its a 13mm. Unplug the electrical connector on top of the alternator Take out all the loose bolts and pull the alternator out. Its best if you rotate the motor forward before taking the alternator off. Have fun!! Robby
