Addicted To Boost Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I replaced the plugs in my 91 GP today and while I had it apart, I checked the resistance of all of my spark plug wires. Most of them fell in the 2k-9k ohm range, while two of the wires, going to cylinders 3 and 5 were at 15k ohms and 42k ohms, respectively. What should the readings be at for the wires? Thanks Quote
jake91 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 found this on popular mechanics A conventional plug wire has a resistance of 10,000 to 15,000 ohms per foot of length Quote
88Regal Limited Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Definitely just get a new set for safety's sake. They're only what, 25-50 bux at your local auto parts store depending on what type you get. Quote
