ns87
For the past couple months my car has been leaking a huge amount of coolant in a short time. Very infrequently. Luckily it did it for me while I had it in the garage tonight. From left to right: Huge puddle (Coincides with firewall area of car): Coolant. It is def coming from the back of the engine. I repaired the line going to the heater core a year ago. That is not the source Little drops next to huge puddle: transmission fluid. It's always done it since the day I bought the car. Not very concerned about that. Middle puddle is a stain Front drops are more coolant from the radiator?
ManicMechanic
Freeze plug?
19Cutlass94
Did you check around the heater core those coolant lines?
Andrew
small puddle in front could be a seeping lower rad hose.
Night Fury
I had similar leak spots on the CS(the front spots) and it was the tranny cooler lines to the rad.
ns87
The back leak is my biggest concern. Maniac I remember reading that you did a freeze plug on your car. Any advice? Was the leak constant? My leak works like this: About once every couple weeks there is a HUGE puddle of coolant under my car. Otherwise I barely notice it. The leak only happens when the car is NOT running. And it never happens as a drip. It's a big dump of coolant out of nowhere. It has done this for well over a year, so I don't think the car is in much danger for now. I'm good at monitoring it. But I really feel bad for the environment since I know the stuff is deadly to animals. I think next time I buy a bottle, it will be the non toxic stuff that costs more. Did you check around the heater core those coolant lines? yeah it is bone dry. I was wondering if it was the Coolant temperature sensor I added for my gauge cluster a few years ago.... Hmm, keep the ideas coming!
LuminaPower92
I had a leak on my white Lumina, turned out it was a crack in the front side of the Radiator plastic sides. It would seep especially when warmed up. I was only able to see the crack when I pulled it out.

Exactly how mine was acting...I should have left it alone and it wouldn't have pooped out freeze plugs and need to be towed...
GJD5
don't forget that it could be running down the frame or another part and then dripping off the lowest part...so it could be misleading to just look at the spot it drips off. Look for the highest part that is still clean.
