A-pillar custom guage pods

I bought a spare A-arm trim piece from the salvage yard to make some custom guages. I was wondering, if I buy guage pods and guages to screw onto the a-arm, what could I use to smoothe it out before I paint it. I would like it to fit flush with the a-arm. I was thinking sand it down, bondo it, then re sand it, then paint it. Would this work? Any ideas are appreciated. Also, what guages do you reccomend? How many should I do? I plan on running a custom turbo next summer, so I want to leave one for boost. I'd also like an a/f guage, but I wouldnt know where to run the wires. Any help, please!

Yeah, try some bondo. You could also get a little adventurous and do a little fiberglassing, then you would use bondo-glass to fill in all the spots and crap (same concept as bondo).

I'd rather experiment w/ the one I have right now, because if I can make the pods flush, then it will fit perfectly, I don't want to have to use a heat gun to make it "almost" fit. That fox body stuff if all here say, I've never seen pics of it.

Check with TurboSTE.com.

Pictures are posted of the final project, but I believe eclipse5302 did have some work-in-progress photos.
