Timm Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 I know I have broken vac lines on my 3800. I know it hurts my gas mileage. But just how badly? I've been having HORRIBLE gas mileage lately! Or could it just be the cold weather? Or both? Quote
slick Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Mixture of both definately doesn't help. Quote
Brian P Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 it's the cold weather... big time. Also the "winter" blend gasoline if you have it there. Quote

Too confusing. I know that it's hisses loud, is very thin, and it's on the driver side behind the battery. EVERY other line (Connecting to TB and engine) has had the rubber ends broken. Now being held on with electrical tape. Quote

ismellrealbad Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 you cant tell which blend you have. at least ive never seen it announced or posted. it varies by your region and what time of year it is. most areas have a specific time from when - when its sold. all i know is winter blend gives slightly less mpg and the ability to actually start your car when its super cold. oh yeah dont forget most of us are either constantly warming up the shit out of our cars and/or driving in open loop till ur fully up to temp, both resulting in poor mileage Quote
Brian P Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 if it's winter time, you have winter blend. Quote
rockfangd Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 ok i hate to bring this up but my research on this (winter blend ) has bullshit writtn all over it. Gas is gas is gas no matter where you get it, when you get it, or how you get it. The only thing that is different between gasoline is the octane rating. Can someone find an article that proves the existance of this lol. It wll be my ease of mid on the topic END HIJACK Quote

Brian P Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 there's more to be said about the topic. That was just the most relevant and generalized links I grabbed. Quote
