Cam sprocket lock ring

Did a search for this and came up empty...

 

Once you remove the cam sprockets and get the lock rings out, what's the proper way to get them back in? The only way I can think would be to crank down on the bolts and push'em back in, but that looks to me like they'd get crushed doing that.

 

This is on my '92, BTW.

 

Advice please?

step 10 is what u need I think, the torque specs should be helpful.

 

91 FSM (92 3.4 should be the same) says:

Somehow, I'd think the rings would get crushed doing that, but I guess not. Thanks for the help man!
