jake91 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 as the title says i need more leg room in the cutlass. so i was wondering if i could swap in differnt tracks. i do know the seat isnt jammed. so thats not my problem. mainly i was wondering what i would have to do to swap in new tracks, and what type of cars can i get them out of that would have longer seat tracks. thanks Quote
Crazy K Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 i see this being very difficult. you are certain your set goes all the way back? can you see the front bolts tht hold the rack down? Quote
jmoore4294 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Yeah, make sure it goes all the way back before you try this. I'm 6'1 and 250 pounds, and with the seat all the way back, I can't reach the pedals. Quote
Night Fury Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 What they said... I find it hard to believe you need more than it can offer... Quote

Q-Ball Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Have you tride sliding the passenger seat back and forth to make sure it doesnt go any further? Quote

GOT2B GM Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Buy a Fiero (seriously) they have a shit ton of legroom, ask any Fiero (ex) owner Quote
oldscsc Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I'm 6'3 or 6'4 at 155 and my legs are on the dash whenever I drive. I'm just used to it now, although if swapping out tracks would be bolt and go I would seriously consider a swap. Quote
Addicted To Boost Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Seriously? Every GP I've had has had plenty of leg room when the seat is all the way back, and I'm 6' also. I'm pretty little at 130ish lbs though.. Quote
88red4cyl Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Buy a Fiero (seriously) they have a shit ton of legroom, ask any Fiero (ex) owner Hands down the best driving position of any car I have ever driven... I'm 6 foot as well, and both my Luminas have plenty of room for my legs... I usually rest my left leg against the door, but I could extend it if I wanted too... Quote
mediabandit Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Just rip out the front seat and sit in the back. Quote
jake91 Posted December 31, 2008 Author Report Posted December 31, 2008 . what is really funny is that mom mom said the same thing earlier today Quote

swift13 Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 best bet is to measure your track and go to a j/y and measure for longer ones in different cars(bigger GM cars maybe) Quote
