Garrett Powered
I was looking at all the 18's that have the 25mm offset and found a few that were in stock and decently priced. I think the shelby one would look good on a black TGP?? It says shelby right on the lip. change that to McLaren and I would be all over it. http://www.elites-wholesale.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/5357937/vpcsid/0/SFV/32431 http://www.elites-wholesale.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/5356562/vpcsid/0/SFV/32431 http://www.elites-wholesale.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/5357661/vpcsid/0/SFV/32431 the third one I think would go good on a white car since they are silver, but those come in chrome too but cost a lot more. I kind of like them.
TurboSedan
i like the first one the best of the three, but i'm the type of person that thinks nothing looks better than the stock crosslaces. or the soccerball wheels on a Turbo STE for that matter. jake91
sorry man, but none of those wheels or any on there site even look good to me, but if i had to chose from those 3 it would be the third one
Garrett Powered
so does anybody have any advice on the offset? would 25 be the best, or would 35 or 40 be alright with the TGP body kit? 40 offset would set the tire out 1.5 more cm than stock right? I think thats what Kuntzie had for his rims, like a 35mm offset?. so I guess my question for Kuntzie would be ; How well did that work out? yeah Jake, I just went through all the wheels for the bolt pattern and looked for the TGP offset of 25 mm and those are the best options of what I saw. I also saw some 17x9 of that 3rd one but they cost more than the 18x8, but I might go for them because I like the look of fat tread more than tall wheels. Its hard to say without seeing them on the car first.
AWeb80
25 is stock.....any HIGHER of a number will set teh wheel in more the 077's were 43 offset IIRC and I had a 1/2" gap between the tire and flares.....now w/ stock Xlaces, it's nearly flush. If I got new wheels, they'd be 17x9's and a ~32 offset w/ 255 tires
Garrett Powered
32 offset, hmmm.so that would set it in a fraction of a cm, or is that to make up for the wider wheel? see I was thinking I'd rather have it in more so as to avoid rubbing on the body kit while steering but that brings up another question. What profile tire to use if I went with 17x9 255's? also, what would be better, to have a little wider stance with a 25 mm offset or in a little with 30-35 since you can add spacers to the back if needed? I need to know all I can about this before I drop like $800 on wheels, so thanks for helping with this. there seems to be only a few different designs that would be acceptable on any 88-96 GP so far. If anyone else finds something please post it up, especially 17x9s.
AWeb80
well, for reference....I have stock Xlaces on a 2" lowered car...w/ 1/8" spacers and NO rubbing. I guess...going w/ a biggger number on teh offset, would allow you to space them out as needed.
Garrett Powered
found some more here are the 17x9s w/24mm offset, I think I want these for my red tgp. http://www.elites-wholesale.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/5357656/vpcsid/0/SFV/32431 some 18x8.5 / 38mm offset. http://www.elites-wholesale.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/4671707/vpcsid/0/SFV/32431 http://www.elites-wholesale.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/4674949/vpcsid/0/SFV/32431 I kind of like this style that more resemble the x-lace somewhat, but the universal bolt pattern FTL. http://www.elites-wholesale.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/4312743/vpcsid/0/SFV/32431 some 18x9.5" ones! http://www.elites-wholesale.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/4312785/vpcsid/0/SFV/32431 opinions on these? which ones for the Barn Find? <--no body kit, would have to be 35-38 offset probably. slick
I like the stlyling on the last the best as well. However, I cannot stand the black wheel look, unless you are going for the "murdered" look.
GOT2B GM
none of the linked wheels would make it on my TGP.
Garrett Powered
I thought the black ones looked the best. I got to looking at the smaller pic with the black background and noticed what I thought were universal log pattern was actually more of those rivet things. too bad those aren't the ones that came in 9.5" wide. the murdered look huh? I like that.
slick
Didn't notice the fake rivets the first time, but yeah, I'm with Matt after seeing them. Fake rivets/bolts/junk that clutters up the wheel ruins them.
Garrett Powered
well that sucks because I can't find any more because every other site on the web has a crappy search function and I always come up with nothing.

Garrett Powered
so the little bit off on the bolt pattern does not have any fitment issues? that would really open up some possibilities.
Pontiac6KSTEAWD
Its basicly a direct bolt up. I havent heard of anyone having problems with the 114.7 bolt pattern.

AWeb80
yeah your best bet is to look for rims in the mustang line.....find 17x9's that fit mustangs and you'll be set

Garrett Powered
I stared at those for a while and they do not look like the bullitt wheels I am thinking of. also the 9" ones don't have much of a lip, and what am I supposed to do with the 10.5 wide ones? I know though, I was looking for bullitt ones like that one guy here silverbullittss got.
