dohc v6
Would you guys be willing to have a mandrel bent downpipe and crossover pipe? I was thinking about having a set made for myself then thought about doing a feeler yo see if there are any others interested? Pricing, I have no idea, probably $120-150 for the DP and $80 fot the crossover, don't quote me though. Let me know guys.
BXX
If anything, epecially if you are putting the control arms on hold, I need a DP... My cat is clogged and would be nice to have a real sized downpipe.
dohc v6
Control arms are not on hold at all. I am fixing the green cutty that I have, and I have the crossover pipe off. I was thinking why not see if there was any interest.

I was thinking why not see if there was any interest. Oh, Ok... Well here in a week I will be giving you a go ahead on the control arms I want. I gotta re-verify, but apparently aftermarket tubular arms exist that fit my specs.. Not 100% sure on it. But I do need a nice DP to go with my catback I already have, plus my convertor is junk and you really cant bypass it with straight pipe when its welded so close to the stock doucle wall DP.. <<<< Info for people who dont know about the stock DPs
White93z34
so would I be able to use this with my stock manifolds? dumb question I know. I might be interested in a downpipe. I have a moderately custom DP at the moment, but I would like to see how much better then stock yours would be. and is it safe to assume that these will be for the 3.4 DOHC? BIGBULS
FWIW, the crossovers on LQ1's are already mandrel bent from the factory, and I think the OHV V6 crosovers are too. Small though, like 1 7/8th in or somesuch...... As for downpipes, early LQ1's like mine get a single wall, 2.5in DP that is ALSO very well bent...........but L82's are total crap..........they REALLY need to be replaced. Dark Ride
I'd be interested in a TURBO crossover pipe, preferrable one that would allow me to do a 3100 top end swap
slick
I'm suprised more people aren't hoping all over the crossover pipes. Granted, they don't need to be much larger than stock, but they crimp down over the transmission = big loss of flow. You will probably lose a bit of bottom end, but gain it back on the top end. I'd venture to say that if your going to make mandrel bent crossover pipes, stock size or .25" larger would be about perfect for most people on here. Minimal loss, decent gains, and wouldn't be too overly priced. Now, I got a request for you, but I'll do that through PM to keep the thread clean. Brian P
I'm attacking the manifolds before I go change the crossover. Not saying it isn't a problem, but the manifolds are horrid. I'm hoping one day a set of powerlogs will be made for the 3100/3400 heads.
J
N/A dp for sure!
