Red95GP Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 Vehicle: 95 GP, 3100. Problem: Cyl #3 injector leaking, visible from the outside. Symptoms: Rough idle, slight hesitation upon acceleration. Possible fix: Injector o-ring replacement. Question: Ive never done this co what would be the easiest way to go about doing this. What has to be removed to get to the fuel rail? Thanks for any help!!! Quote
swift13 Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 take the throttle off the plenum and take off the plenum. disconnect the supply and return for the fuel. and your fuel rail should be easy to get at now. i dont remember what size bolts hold it down 8mm i think there are a few of these on the rail take those off and use a pry tool very carefully to pop out the fuel rail there are little clips on each injector that have to be removed to unplug them. if the injector stayed in the intake and not in the rail, gently pry those out as needed. since you will probably end up taking it all off get new o-rings for all of them(2 per inj.)make sure nothing gets into the cylinder and try to rag up any spilt fuel. and i always use a little white grease to ease them back in. not sure if this is the recommended way of doing this but it has never failed for me Quote
