pose_Z34
It's official used a heat gun and let the car run in a warm garage, and the lock is still bound up!! Any suggestions?
AL
i no this sounds dumb but have you tried manually pushing the lock towards unlock and then opened the door? I had it happen one time where thats what i had to do

1990lumina
And you're sure it's warmed up enough to work?
pose_Z34
It wasn't weather related, turns out the locking mechanism is out of adjustment. After prying the broken outside handle assembly off, I moved the linkage and everything worked like a charm. Now I just have to wait for the new handle. Thanks as always
pose_Z34
Okay, Installed the new handle and it works like a charm. The issue I have is with the lock. I'll try the lock about 20-30 times with the door open and it has full range of motion to lock and unlock. After I shut the door, I try it another 20-30 times and something keeps the lock from moving all the way to unlock the door. Any ideas?
