94 olds vert Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 Did that one go in because the wheels were hitting the calipers? The tq stars from my GTP clear the calipers on my CS. I just had to grind down the caliper bracket a bit. Quote
Nas Escobar Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Exploder wheels on a Lumina? Quote
primergray Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Exploder wheels on a Lumina? Well, same 5x114.3 bolt pattern as Mustangs...but...not like there's a non-Ford center cap for them. Wonder if this one ended up in a rollover. Quote

vipmiller803 Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 Lumina rims for the win! I guess parting out the buick may be more profitable if I get it to Cuba first Quote
MemphisMan Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 That '55 Chevy in the foreground says "TAXI" in the windshield. Pretty cool taxi. Quote
ManicMechanic Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 I believe that to be a 1954 Dodge Kingsway. It appears to be a taxi as well but I doubt those are W body Lumina wheels, more likely Lumina APV wheels. Quote
Nas Escobar Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 Nope, those are the Lumina wheels. I have em on my Z34. Well one of em is serving as my full size spare on my Cutlass until I get my 19 inch wheels fixed. Although originalwheels.com lists the W body wheel design as available to the van as well, with the same part number (1665). Lumina APV's had the same bolt pattern as the W's, although I'm not sue of their backspacing. I know 1st gen W's have funky backspacing (41mm or so). Funny thing is that the van had better wheel options... or so the website says. Available in 1990 and 1991 Available 1994-1996 The pic looks like they blacked out the center cap to cover (or shave off) the bowtie. I'm more curious to know how it got all the way to Cuba. Quote
Psych0matt Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 If I'm not mistaken the earlier lumina vans did have that same style of wheel, but with a different offset, or maybe only in 15", but something was different Heartbeat1991 1 Quote
Euro Posted December 9, 2016 Report Posted December 9, 2016 Would they really be any different between the APV and car? I can't see GM making 2 identical wheels differently for both vehicles. Nas Escobar 1 Quote
ManicMechanic Posted December 9, 2016 Report Posted December 9, 2016 One is a 15" (APV) and one is a 16" (car). Psych0matt 1 Quote
Nas Escobar Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 Well then looks like were gonna have to go to cuba with a measuring tape and solve this mystery. ManicMechanic, Imp558, primergray and 1 other 4 Quote
RobertISaar Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 Would they really be any different between the APV and car? I can't see GM making 2 identical wheels differently for both vehicles. you mean like the early GP alloy 5 spoke wheels that were available as both 15 and 16" varieties? Quote
Euro Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 One is a 15" (APV) and one is a 16" (car). The Euro sedan had the 15" offered in 90-93 as well. The one in the picture looks 16" to me. Quote
CarlosS Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 My 08 Impala with some 16" Bonny wheels i got at a junker. Don't know what year exactly but they're better than the factory steelies and caps that i had on. I'm looking to find some 17" GP wheels though. I dont really care for any factory 17" wheels that was offered on the 00-13 Impalas. Quote
Nas Escobar Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 Looks like those came off of a late 90's Bonneville. Quote
Imp558 Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 Those wheels are nice. Those would work on a lot of cars. Quote
CarlosS Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 Thanks guys. I'm looking at the 04-06 i think GP 17s. Similar offset and a .5" diff in width. Quote
MemphisMan Posted May 24, 2017 Report Posted May 24, 2017 Saw this beauty today about a mile from where I work. Quote
94 olds vert Posted May 24, 2017 Report Posted May 24, 2017 I would asked if the rims are for sale. Those could be easily reconditioned. Quote
