3pt1lumina Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 It's been driving me crazy for some time now, but it's too cold to take the dash apart to realize this can't be done; so I figured I'd ask and see if you all can answer this question before I do so. The right side of the HVAC control doesn't light up...looks as if a bulb is out behind it. I've never had the HVAC unit out of one of these cars so is it possible to replace a bulb behind here? If so, what kind of bulbs are they? Like 194's or are they little LED's like in the door locks? TIA! Quote
paulo57509 Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 I have a replacement HVAC control for my '92 Lumina. It appears that once you get the control out of the dash, the front of the control snaps off to access the lighting. I haven't taken it apart to see, but one would think that there's replaceable bulbs in there. Quote
swift13 Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 might be easier to snake one from a junkyard and just replace. 5 minute job hardest part is getting the bezel off Quote
3pt1lumina Posted December 16, 2008 Author Report Posted December 16, 2008 Actually, the other night I went to turn up the fan speed, and I pushed on the knob very lightly, and it went on...so don't fix what isn't broken! Quote
swift13 Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 well there you go but be cautious it will prob. go out again soon so be ready Quote
