HID retrofit?

I want to retrofit HID projectors in my monte headlights. I have the clear lens, black background ones from ebay. Im not very confident with doing a retrofit my self without any knowledge. Does anyone know of a place online that does good retrofits for a decent price? Or does anyone know of anyone that has done one them self and have a good write up on it too? It is one of many things I have planned and want to get started on with the monte project, along with the motor and body work. Thanks any info is appreciated.

During that time, I started to get pretty busy with work and school. Then I simply lost interest in the project, and decided that I don't like my Bonneville enough to modify it. I'm on my way back home from WI right now, I'll take a look around and see what I have. If anything, I still may have the bulbs and ballasts, you will just need projectors, which there are tons of D2S based projectors available.

Problem is I don't know what kind of projector would be good. Are they adjustable? How do you know if you have them straight or not because your stock housings only adjust so far.

That is something you have to consider when making them. You could put some adjuster screws for side-side and up-down adjustment. The projector itself is two pieces- the lense and and plastic that holds the lense, and the base with the cutoff plate. They are held together by screws, so in theory, you could put some lock nuts on the back of your headlamp housing, run the screw through there and into the part where they are held together for adjustment. In fact, that should work pretty well!

this type of shopping should be done where you can see and hold the projectors in your hand for size and all. Going on ebay and measuring and finding the right projector may be a pain to find the perfect one. IDK ill have to look for more info

Yeah, there are soo many sizes and styles of projectors, that it can be hard to choose. You gotta find what you like, and what will work for you.

Keep in mind, if you want real HID's, this is the way to go. Those HID kits are not true HID's.

When I had my Chrysler Cirrus I was looking into doing this exact thing because well the headlights sucked on the cloud cars from DCX. But I digress. From everyone I seen do it most used TSX projectors because they are supposed to be the best that money can buy. Here are some links to some of the projects they did over there...
