Would the Getrag 282 out of the W-Bodies happen to be the same Getrag 282 that is in some of the 3.1 Cavaliers???

I was talking to my buddy austin who has a 90 cavi with a Getrag 282 and the 3.1L

so how different are the ratios in the 2??? the W-Body 282 vs. the L-body 282. In theory, i should be able to pull one out of a retta or cavi and drop it right into my GP???

Correct. They shouldn't be a problem.

To find ratios, I would search the Beretta.net site and ask around.

Also, check YOUR RPO code because that holds the ratio numbers.

If you finds another non-W-Body manual tranny with the same RPO, it'll be a direct swap; ratios and all.

Go to brian89gp's website. It's got all the ratios for all the different versions of the 282
