1tinindian
I have been going through a lot of old post, and have seen that it's said that 1995 was the year for the 11.25 front brakes. The brakes are said to have been introduced "mid-year", and I was interested in having you post your 1995 models, build date (mine was found inside the drivers door). Lets see if we can nail down the point they were introduced. I am upgrading my 1992 GP S/E to the bigger brakes, and I have been studying this topic for a while now. Also interested in what model your big brakes came on. Were they used more on the top end models at first, or not. My GP GTPs build date is 5/95, and take that as at least a mid-year build, and came with the 11.25 front brakes. Leon

Leon That's more end of the year. 07/95 where when the last 95s were built and the '96s started rolling off the line. I haven't looked at this but being the resident W body VIN and date expert, maybe I should?
5speedz34
Just get some from a 96+. Make sure to swap your son's springs over.

9lumina6
im not sure what the production date is in my Z-34.........cause the sticker is totally faded.......im assuming late, late 94 or very early 95 since its got the 10.5'' rotors (or whatever the smaller ones are.......i remember when i changed them back in october i had to measure them and they were the smaller option for the 95. Leon It's just an educated guess on my part, but it's probably about the same time as they went from the X-laces to the 5-stars.

Different cars got different springs. It's not even a matter of FE3, FE1, or FE2. Just get them transferred.

All the clunking and other noise is gone, and the cars rides great. I did keep the old springs, though, if I might need them in the future.
