kwk39018
Any 1 gen should work.
jeremy
stick with a pontiac deck or the lighting will look like shit. 94-03 will be a direct swap
jwakamud
so we're sure that anything GM 94-03 will be plug and play (possible bracketing issues)? and i wouldnt dream of going away from pontiac, i dig the stockness. jeremy
so we're sure that anything GM 94-03 will be plug and play (possible bracketing issues)? they used the exact same decks the entire time....
jwakamud
good to know. but a 04/05 wont plug?

jwakamud
okay, so any 1.5 din GM radio from 94-05 will fit?
slick
Not any. After 01, certain vehicles changed harnesses, had the chime module built in, etc....

jwakamud
sry, im trying to be so clear because i dont want to have to come back here every week with a new HU asking if itll fit.
GP1138
Not any. After 01, certain vehicles changed harnesses, had the chime module built in, etc.... Pontiacs still had the older-style HU's I believe.
slick
Not any. After 01, certain vehicles changed harnesses, had the chime module built in, etc.... Pontiacs still had the older-style HU's I believe. Depends. IIRC, 01-02 or so, the Grand Am's and Sunfire's got the newer plug and chime module radio. I could be totally wrong here, but that's the year that comes to mind
Addicted to eaton
94-03 are identical!
5speedz34
Second-Gen GP's have the same radio that the 94-96 cars got. Any radio from a 97-03 GP will work.
